About Us

Brian is the President and Owner of BDL Heating & Cooling. With over 35-years of experience in residential home construction and 25-years of HVAC experience, Brian has a deep knowledge of the industry. Brian graduated from the New England Institute of Technology in 1992 and holds a Master Sheet Metal License, Refrigeration Technician License, EPA 608 Universal Certification and OSHA 10 Certification. Brian is also NATE Certified in Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Service and Installation and City Multi Certified.

Josh joined BDL Heating & Cooling in 2010 and has worked both in the field and as a business manager. Josh is responsible for management of day-to-day operations, sales, finances and business development. Josh is also a partner in our sister plumbing firm, Priority One Plumbing & Heating, Inc. Josh graduated magna cum laude from Worcester State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Josh holds a MA State Master Unrestricted (M-1) Sheet Metal License, EPA 608 Universal Certification, NFPA Hot Work Safety Certification and is Mitsubishi City Multi Certified.

After graduating from the Bay State School of Technology with a degree in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating Technology, Steve joined BDL Heating & Cooling in February of 2007 as an Installation Technician. Steve was quickly promoted to Install Supervisor in 2008 and Install Manager in 2017. Steve holds a Master Sheet Metal License, EPA 608 Universal Certification, OSHA 10 Certification and is Mitsubishi M & P Series Certified; City Multi Certified.

Rob joined BDL Heating & Cooling in 2015 as a Service Technician with experience in both HVAC service and installation. Rob was promoted to Service Manager in 2017. Rob holds a MA State Sheet Metal License, is EPA 608 Certified, OSHA 10 certified, A/C Check Certified, Mitsubishi M & P Series Certified and graduated from Tri-County RVTHS’s HVAC program; City Multi Certified.

Andrew joined BDL Heating & Cooling in 2018 after owning his own HVAC and plumbing business. Andrew holds a Master Plumbers License, Refrigeration Technician License, OSHA 10 Certification, Viessmann dealer certification and Naiven dealer certification. Andrew also graduated from Tri-County RVTHS’S HVAC program and Master’s Plumbing and Gas School’s plumbing program.

After graduating from the New England Institute of Technology with a degree in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating Technology, Sean joined BDL Heating & Cooling in March of 2008. Sean holds a Journeyman Unrestricted (J-1) Sheet Metal License, EPA 608 Universal Certification and OSHA 10 Certification.

Andrew joined BDL Heating & Cooling in 2013 after working as an Installation Technician for another local HVAC company. Andrew holds a MA State Sheet Metal License, EPA 608 Universal Certification, OSHA 10 Certification and Mitsubishi M & P Series Certification. Andrew is also NATE certified in Air Conditioning Installation, City Multi Certified and Heat Pump Installation and received a technical education at the Peterson School.

Nathan joined BDL Heating & Cooling in 2016 with six years of previous HVAC installation experience. Nathan holds a MA State Sheet Metal License, is EPA Certified, OSHA 10 Certified and graduated from Tri-County RVTHS’s HVAC program.

Dan joined BDL Heating & Cooling in 2013 as an Installation Technician after graduating from the RETS Institute of Technology. Dan has a Massachusetts State Sheet Metal license, is EPA 608 Certified, OSHA 10 Certified and NATE Certified in Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Installation.

Steven has been working for BDL Heating & Cooling since 2011 on a part-time basis. Steven joined BDL full-time after graduating from the New England Institute of Technology with a Degree in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology. Steven holds a MA State Sheet Metal License, EPA 608 Universal Certification and OSHA 10 Certification.

Thomas joined BDL Heating & Cooling, Inc. while attending Tri-County RVTHS. After graduation, Thomas joined BDL Heating & Cooling full time as an installation technician. Thomas holds an EPA 608 Universal Certification and OSHA 10 Certification.

Alan joined BDL Heating & Cooling in 2017 after graduating from MTTI’s HVAC program. Alan has also furthered his education, taking sheet metal classes with the Gould Institute of Technology since 2020. Alan has a Massachusetts State Sheet Metal License, an EPA 608 Universal Certification, NFPA Hot Works Certification, and RI PJF Gas and Oil License.

Eric joined BDL Heating & Cooling, Inc. as a service apprentice while attending Tri-County RVTHS. After graduation in 2018, Eric continued to grow in his role and was eventually promoted to a Service Technician position. Eric holds an EPA 608 Universal Certification and OSHA 10 Certification.

Zack joined BDL Heating & Cooling after serving overseas in the military and attending MTTI’s HVAC program. Zack has his EPA 608 Universal Certification, OSHA 10 Certification and RI PJF Natural Gas and Oil Heat Licenses.

Jaren joined BDL Heating & Cooling after working for the union and attending MTTI’s HVAC program. Jaren has his EPA 608 Universal Certification, OSHA 10 Certification and RI PJF Natural Gas and Oil Heat Licenses.

Steve joined BDL Heating & Cooling after graduating from MTTI’s HVAC program. Steve has his EPA 608 Universal Certification, RI PJF Natural Gas License, RI PJF Oil Heat License and OSHA 10 Certification.

Derek joined BDL Heating & Cooling as a co-op student while attending high school in the HVAC program at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School. After graduation, Derek joined BDL Heating & Cooling full time as an installation technician. He has since continued his education at the Gould Institute of Technology. Derek currently holds a MA State Sheet Metal License and an EPA 608 Universal Certification.

Luis joined BDL Heating & Cooling while taking night classes at MTTI. Luis has his EPA 608 Universal Certification, OSHA 10 Certification and RI PJF Natural Gas and Oil Heat Licenses.

James joined BDL Heating & Cooling as an Installation Apprentice. While working at BDL, James obtained his technical education at the Gould Institute of Technology. Since then, James has been promoted to an Installation Technician position. James currently holds a MA State Sheet Metal License.

Alex joined BDL Heating & Cooling as an Installation Apprentice after working in the corporate world and deciding he preferred to work with his hands. Since then, Alex has been promoted to an Installation Technician and quickly honed his skills.

Gabriel joined BDL Heating & Cooling as a co-op student while attending high school in the HVAC program at Bristol-Plymouth Vocational Technical High School. After graduation, Gabriel joined BDL Heating & Cooling full time as an installation technician. Gabriel holds an EPA 608 Universal Certification and NFPA Hot Works Certification.

Joe joined BDL Heating & Cooling after attending high school in the HVAC program at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School.

Justin joined BDL Heating & Cooling after working for another HVAC firm for three years. Justin graduated from the HVAC program at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School. Justin holds his EPA 608 Universal Certification, OSHA 10 Certification and NFPA Hot Works Certification.

Dave joined BDL Heating & Cooling in 2017 with eight years of previous HVAC service experience and a technical education from Porter & Chester Institute. Dave holds a Massachusetts State Oil Burner Certificate, is EPA 608 Certified, A/C Check Certified and Mitsubishi M & P Series Certified.

Max joined BDL Heating & Cooling as a co-op student through Tri-County RVTHS. After graduating at the top of his class, Max joined BDL Heating & Cooling full time. Max holds an EPA 608 Universal Certification and is Mitsubishi M & P Series Certified; City Multi Certified.

Nick is BDL’s longest standing employee. After graduating from the Bay State School of Technology with a degree in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating Technology, Nick joined BDL Heating & Cooling in 2004 as a Service Technician. Nick is EPA 608 Certified, OSHA 10 Certified and A/C Check Certified

Austin joined BDL Heating & Cooling as a co-op student while attending high school in the HVAC program at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School. After graduation, Austin joined BDL Heating & Cooling full time as a service technician. Austin currently holds an EPA 608 Universal Certification, OSHA 10 Certification, NFPA Hot Works Certification, R-410A Certification, and has completed the Mitsubishi M & P Series Certificate courses.

Andrew joined BDL Heating & Cooling after graduating from MTTI’s HVAC program. Andrew previously worked for American Chem Dry for eight years, has his EPA 608 Universal certification, RI PJF Natural Gas License, RI PJF Oil Heat License and OSHA 10 certification.

Jake joined BDL Heating & Cooling after graduating from Tri-County RVTHS’s HVAC program. Jake has his EPA 608 Universal certification and OSHA 10 Certification.

Brian joined BDL Heating & Cooling after working for his families HVAC and refrigeration business for a number of years. Brian graduated from the HVAC program at Bristol-Plymouth Vocational Technical High School. Brian holds a MA State Sheet Metal License and EPA 608 Universal Certification.

Tyler joined BDL Heating & Cooling after obtaining his HVAC technical education at MTTI. Prior to joining the industry, Tyler worked as an auto mechanic for over 10-years. Tyler has continued his sheet metal education at the Gould Institute of Technology. Tyler holds a MA State Sheet Metal License, EPA 608 Universal Certification, OSHA 10 Certification, RI PJF Gas License and RI PJF Oil License.

James joined BDL Heating & Cooling as a co-op student while attending high school in the HVAC program at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School. After graduation, James joined BDL Heating & Cooling full time as a service technician. James holds an EPA 608 Universal Certification and OSHA 10 Certification.

Jacinto joined BDL Heating & Cooling after obtaining his technical education at MTTI. Jacinto holds an EPA 608 Universal Certification, OSHA 10 Certification, RI PJF Gas License and RI PJF Oil License.

Jayson joined BDL Heating & Cooling after obtaining his technical education at MTTI. Jayson holds an EPA 608 Universal Certification, OSHA 10 Certification, RI PJF Gas License and RI PJF Oil License.

When the business started in 2001, Joan worked alongside Brian as the only office employee at BDL. As the business grew, she continued to manage office operations. In 2013, she retired from the office but is still actively involved in the business coordinating all company events, including our summer party and Christmas party.

Steve has been an accountant for over 30-years, working at several different firms during his career. In 2010, Steve joined BDL for the first time on a contract basis, where he came on for six months to help set up a new software and put other infrastructure in place. Almost 15-years later, in 2024, our accounts payable clerk retired after 11-years with the company. Knowing we had big shoes to fill, we called on Steve, who has taken over the post and then some, handling the accounting and accounts payable needs of the company.

Matthew Keogh joined BDL Heating & Cooling in 2017 after studying mathematics at Bridgewater State University and Clemson University. Matthew oversees accounts receivable, technical development, and the maintenance program.

Shanelle started at BDL Heating & Cooling in 2014 after previously working in human resources and recruiting. Shanelle is responsible for customer service, warranty registration and filing of customer rebates. She also is a human resources specialist, helping BDL employees with benefits and other HR related needs.

Kendra joined BDL Heating & Cooling after working for Santander Bank for six years as a Operations/Branch Manager. She is responsible for customer service, dispatching/scheduling and various other administrative duties. Kendra also handles accounts payable for our sister company, Priority One Plumbing & Heating, Inc.

Rachel joined BDL Heating & Cooling, Inc. in 2021 as an administrative assistant – permitting specialist. Rachel is responsible for customer service, dispatching/scheduling and various other administrative duties. Rachel also pulls permits and coordinates inspections with customers and local building departments.

Jordyn joined BDL Heating & Cooling in 2024 as a Customer Service Representative. Jordyn is responsible for customer service, dispatching/scheduling, and various other administrative duties.

Gary joined BDL Heating & Cooling, Inc. after 30+ years of working for the utility company as a gas service technician. Gary holds a Rhode Island Master Mechanical License.

Adam joined BDL Heating & Cooling, Inc. after working as a warehouse associate for Racks for 10-years. Adam graduated from Tri-County RVTHS’s HVAC program and is responsible for shipping/receiving, warehouse management and inventory.

Randy works part-time at BDL Heating & Cooling as a facilities manager. Randy is responsible for our metal recycling program, breaking down all systems removed from customers home to recycle the metal and safely dispose of all non-recyclable material.
